A safe home is a healthy home
A key part of being able to receive care within a home is that it is a safe space for your loved one. We have a home safety checklist that we review with every client to help prevent unnecessary slips and falls as well as ensure that it is easy to communicate within the home. We recommend grab bars in showers, raised toilet seats in bathrooms, non-skid flooring, and layout suggestions to minimize hazardous situations. The proliferation of smart home devices and internet-enabled products make it easier than ever to turn on lights, adjust room temperatures and see who might be knocking at the door. We help set up devices like smart speakers and teach our clients how to use them for their benefit. Assessment and preparedness can lead to the prevention of falls and injuries.
